One word....HIGHROAD.A week isn't very long but if you study your A$$ off, you should be ok. I just upgraded to SOLO with Swift 3 weeks ago. Be prepared for tbe TOUGHEST 10-12 weeks of your life! Having at LEAST $1000 To your name before you go should be a priority also. Good Lucksmile.gif

Welcome to Swift, Retha. And welcome to Memphis. I'm at that terminal nearly every weekend.

Yes, the High Road is still good. Use it to wrap your head around Hours Of Service. That's the toughest classroom subject.

Search here for backing conversation. Especially "Alley Dock", Parallel and Offset. You could also look through the series of Backing Practiceâ„¢ posts. These aren't part of your school work, but you can learn the mindset you need to have to move your trailer to where you want it to be.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
