Averitt also has a flatbed division. Something to consider.

Check with Swift. I met several students that seemed to have bigger issues than that. Never hurts to contact as many companies as possible

thanks tractor man but I talked with swift and they wanted me to have my license back for two years

So,spend the next nine months studying the High Road Training Program. And read Becoming A Truck Driver: The Raw Truth About Truck Driving. And learn everything you can about becoming a successful truck driver. Good luck. Be patient. You can also tryApply For Truck Driving Jobs and see if anyone will take you on. If someone does, stick with them for a minimum of one year no matter what.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
