Need recommendations. I guess I'll need 1000 watts? Can't be hard wired. Have to use power ports. Also, can you use multiple inverters or will that be too much for the truck?

Max wattage for power port inverters is 150-175. I have 12 volt appliances on my truck. Lunch box stove....works great, less than $30. Thermoelectric cooler, Igloo 28 qt....keep your truck below 85 degrees interior temp, cooler stays below 45 degrees. Less than $100. 19" flatscreen TV. Runs fine on 175 watt inverter. All at once or one device at a time?

My truck has 3 12v power ports. I bought a splitter at a truck stop that gives me 2 more. I have my cooler plugged in 24/7, my phone charger and 2 GPS units and I can still plug in my lunchbox cooler. They make plenty of 12v appliances and if you do want a tv they have inverters that plug in to a power port. I use that for my laptop. These trucks have plenty of power lol

So basically, I'd need only 1 inverter. I can do as you do. I'll run phone charger, 1 GPS, and a cooler and a tv off of the power ports, then run my laptop, and my roku off the inverter. Would that work?

Yeah. That would work look up online how much power the roku uses and add that to the amount the laptop uses and you'll know how big of an inverter you'll need.

What do you want to use with the power inverter? If only cellphones, tablets and other small electrnics, then 200W or 300W car inverter is better. if you want to juice up high power devices, then you need to choose a inverter with higher power for your truck. I think 1000W and 2000W are better. I have a bestek 2000W power inverter for my motor home to keep my appliances and other devices on the go.

Multiple power inverters won't be bulky but be very helpful for you. I have two power inverters in my truck, one 2000W and another 300W. The 2000w power inverter is mainly for appliances like coffee maker, refrigerator, TV, ETC. And the 300W power inverter is used to charge personal electronic devices like cellphones and tablets. The 300w power ivnerter is portable and lightweight, no worry about space occupying.
