Just a heads up guys. There was a bad accident on 77 south mile marker 51 in Virginia. I'm not sure what happened, but an officer responding to my accident (guy hit my trailer) told us the tanker and or cab caught fire and the driver may have been killed. I was in traffic for a few hours. Grim reminder of the dangers of trucking. Off to call my wife. Be safe out there.

Driver dies after tanker-trailer overturns, catches fire on I-77 in Bland County

"A tanker-trailer loaded with cooking oil was traveling south on I-77 when it ran off the road, hit a bridge and overturned. It then caught fire."

"The driver died in the crash. There was also a co-driver in the tanker-trailer. He was hurt and has been taken to a hospital in Wytheville."

I figured you would have the scoop on this. I saw the wreckage, it looked pretty bad.

Being totally new to trucking, things like this scare the crap outta me. But I understand it's real and it can happen so you need to be aware. Prayers to the family
