Google research is calling it an Eaton Twin Splitter. But I am getting conflicting information on shift pattern. Some show the top left of the H (first gear position) as 1,2,3; others show top left of the H as 1,5,9. Wish I could help more.
Its probably a 17 speed split.. 2 reverse speeds then 15 forward gears. The first truck i learned to drive years ago was a 17 split in a western star, but had a more traditional splitter lever in front then a second splitter that slid side to side with your thumb.. The levers on this look backwards to me.

I use to drove one but it was a maxi torq transmission I've never seen a Eaton anyone know what this is called
