I just picked up an empty last night that was missing the entire light assembly, bracket and all, for the license plate. I had to sit two hours waiting for a repairman to come out and replace it. Now if the person who dropped it has just reported out when they stopped it, The problem could have been solved before anyone came to pick up the trailer

This trailer was loaded by another dtiver and dropped at our terminal for us to pick up. The original driver failed to go thru the inspection lane and swore up and down there was absolutely nothing wrong with it when he dropped it.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Cmon Sue. That is nothing a little duct tape and bailing wire wouldn't fix. WOW.......you sure are picky about your tires!!

Seriously, That is so uncalled for. Lazy drivers cause the rest of us headaches.

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

The previous driver would have had to do an inspection to report it!

wow.. we hAve to go through inbound amd outbound inspection. . as brian said loke a. pit crew they check all the tires brakes and even the reefer for maIntenance issues. I once had them take a loaded trailer from me cause they said the reefer coukd go down at any time and it woukd ruin the load. another time I took aa 10 'hour break there..and we have to disconnect and park bobtail on thw other side of building. my prime app started messaging "reefer failure". I drove over and a guu was working on it "its over due for maIntenance. sonce your on break we figured wed do it now"

mechinics at prime are awesome.

Bobtail:

"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.

Reefer:

A refrigerated trailer.

We are SUPPOSED to go through inspection lane too. Obvouisly the driver didnt take the 5? minutes to do that and im fairly certain he was reprimanded. That tire came off a trailer which was loaded with our nice little paper rolls that Errol loves so much.
