This was honestly the worst trip I've ever had up to date in trucking so far, luckily I didn't get to the city intensive part of NY but traffic was still packing even at 2 or 3 o clock in the morning. I'm from MS and you'll never see traffic like that down the interstate.

It actually made me be more appreciative that I'm from the south. smile.gif

The backing was a nightmare but it was doable, the worst ones were in NJ where you have to back up into the dock in the middle of a street, not only were they tight but you had traffic as well to deal with.

I was so glad to be done with the load getting out of NJ, I hope I don't go back up there ever again.

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

Just pull the brakes and yell at those around you...they'll think you live there. Lol I can say that cause I'm a jerzee girl

Funny you should say that, I was talking to another driver before I shut down and he suggested I use the airhorn in traffic lol.

Sorry to hear it sucked! I'm SO looking forward to trucking in NJ/NY. embarrassed.gif

I was on White Horse Pike (NJ rt. 30) going to work last week and had the pleasure of coming alongside a 53ft La-z-boy sleeper just as it was beginning its maneuver into a furniture store off the street. There was a small gap in oncoming traffic (rare!) and the driver turned right into those two lanes, went past the store setting up his back, and sight-side backed it into the dock in one go. I pulled into a store on my side and parked up just so I could watch, but the stopped traffic barely had time to get impatient before the driver was all done. Was awesome! I hope to be that good one day.
