Have a load delivering in Salem, VA after midnight, and there seems to be no place around that area with parking that time of night! Clock will run out at 3am. Anyone know of a decent spot??

Try looking for a Wal mart, also, call the receiver and ask them.if you can park on their lot, if it's a big enough place, sometimes they will let you.

Post pics when you attempt an ally back. :)

Yeah, I'm not sure why, but I can't find a way to actually add pictures anywhere on there. Unless, I want to link to a picture already posted on the internet.

I do however have tons of pictures from out here that I'd share. We're on an Amphib (LHD), we have hovercraft (LCACS), cobras, harriers, more than enough to cause trouble.

I swear when I was looking for places to park, WALMART came up as "FORBIDDEN" at least the one in Salem.

In the reply area, look at the blue buttons. One says Photo, touch that. There's a link to instructions how to add photos there. You will need a place to upload to. FB is lousy for that, try Photobucket. It's free. The P-Bucket app makes it easy.

Thanks, I'll wait till I'm back on land. I'm fighting with Dialup speeds out here. This is actually one of the better sights, as far as it being less bandwidth intensive.

Thanks for those suggestions. Couple of new ones on the list to try. Receiver does not allow overnight parking, and the three Walmarts nearby don't either. Pilot filled up hours ago. Just sucks that this load delivered when it did. Being unloaded now so hopefully one of those places will have a spot open for me.

Honestly this time of night can work out pretty well for parking. The people who run their clocks really early (3AM-5PM or something) will just be leaving when you arrive, and tend to be parked in the easiest spots since they got their when the truck stop was empty. I don't anticipate you'll have much trouble.

Went to several spots and all were crammed full. Finally made my own parking in a rest area parallel parking behind people in the pull through spots, so it worked out. Only had 15 minutes to spare on my 14 hr clock! 😋
