I'm with Farmerbob on this one. Well done!

I don't know if you were around on the site when I posted about that mustang driver that cut in front of me and slammed on the brakes: Close call. It was crazy. Some people don't seem to have an ounce of self-preservation.

I hadn't read it before. Just finished. I agree some people don't think beyond not wanting to be behind a big rig. I am still in the air about which city is worse, Memphis or Atlanta! Both of them seemed to be chalk full of people hunting for the Darwin Award. Granted my little attention grabber was in Birmingham. But when I am in Memphis or Atlanta, someone trying to suicide by tractor trailer is almost an every time occurance.

In had a guy have a blow out on front of me...scary. I feel you. Better to hit rubber than hit a car though.

And guess what..I'm headed to the terminal for the ABS problem. My truck been doing it on every trailer this week. Don't know if electrical or air lines or what figured TA wasn't good enough in want the terminal working on it.

Luckily since the blowout was on the left side of the Schneider trailer most of the bigger junks went flying down the white line between the 2 lanes. It allowed everybody to use the shoulders to avoid the debris. To make it worse the Schneider kept driving for several miles like he didn't have a clue something happened. I think the mortar shell going off would of been his first clue to snap out of whatever fog he was in. The slapping noise would of been the 2nd clue that he was the big explosion.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

I'm not sure. I think Memphis is worse. I don't run out there all that much. My two cities are Dallas and Denver. The way another driver put it to me--Denver has more bad drivers per capita, but Dallas has more overall. The thing about Denver that makes it so bad is that the drivers aren't just stupid--they're aggressive. Kinda ironic since I thought a bunch of pot smokers would be chill..LOL

One thing almost makes me laugh is the guy in the 2k lbs KIA acting like he is bigger than you. Kinda reminds me of a Chihuahua. LoL.

We have all dealt with them. They run up next to you, flip on their turn signal, then try to edge you out of the lane. I want to be like: "Hey Buddy, I have lived in South Korea, I know all about the law of tonnage."
