Just left Wyoming...and good riddance! Was stuck there for a day and a half due to that storm that blew through. Very glad to be off of I-80!

Good for you! I just checked 511 and they're still saying no light trailers between Walcott and Laramie, so I'm still stuck here for now....

Started to roll back to Denver from Salt lake last night with empty trailer when I got reports of "no light trailers" on the 511 line for road conditions.

Mine is empty, so I shut down at the scale in Evanston at midnight (clean restroom was the attraction). Winds between Rawlins and Laramie were reported to be 50mph.

103 miles of 50mph wind, I decided NOT.

I've driven in 60mph but not with an empty.

Can't roll again till 10am.

Man, I hate e-logs.

I would have pushed further for as long as I could, in case the ban was lifted by the time I got there, in which case, I might have made it back on time, but with a sinus infection kicking my tail, falling asleep from fatigue, it wasn't worth the fight. I tried caffeine, and that wasn't working either.

If it weren't for the amazing view, I'd say I-80 ought to be covered with one 400 mile-long tunnel. LOL

My first trainer used to say the same thing haha.

511 doesn't have the light trailer restriction anymore. It does say there's still strong winds between exit 267 and 279. I'm gonna try it. I'll let y'all know if I end up in a ditch!
