I have a accident free mvr ...no major moving violations but I failed a D.O.T Pre-employment drug screen ...I have over a year of exp ...does anyone know of any pretty descent paying companies that will give me a chance...I have completed the D.O.T sap process?

SAP:

MVR:

An MVR is a report of your driving history, as reported from your state Department of Motor Vehicles. Information on this report may include Drivers License information, point history, violations, convictions, and license status on your driving record.

I would try this link: Carolina Cargo

They are a well known second-chance company for felons. Not sure what their stance would be on a failed pre-employment drug-screen. The fact that you were already a driver when this happened, is not going to bode well for your future employment prospects as a driver.

My suggestion is to first call Carolina Cargo, see what they say. If that doesn't work, then look for something local. A small operator might be willing to give you a chance. Be prepared for a lot of rejection.

"Technically" - if you have completed an "approved SAP" - you're supposed to be able to get a hire.

Most companies shy away - because part of the "return to work protocol" requires extensive "follow up testing" (1-5 years worth, per FMCSA 49 CFR 40(O)) and many companies just don't want to bother with the hassle.

I'm assuming with 1 years experience - you did your year with a starter/training company, and tried to "move on to greener pastures" and got picked off in a "pre-employment screen"?

As G-Town elaborates - while it's admirable that you went through the hassle of the SAP process - you stood a better chance of a RE-HIRE by getting picked off on a RANDOM and doing SAP, then you do getting a hire for popping a pre-employment screen.

Assuming this was WEED?

Not being judgemental, but you kinda had to know you were going to be tested when changing employers - it's mandatory, even when hiring experienced drivers.
