Ok, I've made a cool update to the tracker - I've added a table below the map. The table has some awesome controls:

1) You can click on the heading of any of the columns to sort the entire table by that column

2) You can use the search box above the table to search for anything in the table one character at a time. For instance, if you type "dan" you'll see all of the people with "dan" in their name. If you type "c." (that's a "c" with a period after it) you'll see "Daniel C." and "Kenn C." only. Play with this a little bit - it's a very powerful feature. You can find anyone in an instant.

3) You can choose how many entries to show at a time with the menu above the table (Default is 10 right now but I can change that to anything).

4) Below the table you'll see "previous" and "next" to show the previous or next page of listings.

Right now the table does not interact with the map. I'm going to work on that next, but probably won't get to that today. I'd like to make the map reflect whatever is showing in the table.

So again, this is not a finished product by any means. It's a work in progress. But it's pretty cool already!

I encourage everyone to vote on some existing suggestions and add suggestions of your own on this page:

Suggestions

We've only had like 5 people participate in it so far but I'd love to get a lot more ideas and voting so I can add the features people really want.

Let me know if this update is working ok for everyone!

Oh, by the way - I've noticed the data doesn't want to update properly if you're not logged in so make sure you're logged in when you're using it. I'll fix that pretty soon.

Also I'm hoping to improve the login system to allow people to login automatically. It won't be for a couple of days or so but it's high on my list. I realize it's annoying to have to keep logging in. I'm sorry about that. I promise that's going to get done real soon.

I am still not listed.

You're listed. Looks like you're in West Memphis. If it still isn't showing you on your phone it's because your phone is caching (storing) the results instead of updating them. That's really common with mobile devices. Try refreshing the page a couple of times and see if it will show up. If not, you'll probably have to clear your browser cache.

Thanks Brett. I see it now maybe it just took a minute to upload or something. I really love the app and look forward to meeting some of the drivers when I get out on my own. I should be upgrading to the A seat this coming weekend and hope to be in my own truck the following weekend, so things are progressing well

I have been trying to think of suggestions for the app even though I kinda like truck tracker. Some thoughts that struck me were, Route 66, the good buddy network, and the 10-20 or what's your 20. But like I said, I kinda like truck tracker. Keep up the great work the site just keeps getting. Stated and better!!

I kinda like the name Truck Tracker too. "Trucker 20" is pretty cool too. Still open to suggestions though.

OK...I admit it..sorry.gif ..I'm a newbie/rookie/wannabe....no wait, strike that wannabe stuff !! Anyway, I'm admittedly electronically challenged...So I'll ask this question for myself, and I hope, for others who can't keep up with technology. Where is the link (other than in this thread) for the tracker ???good-luck-2.gif I know I'm gonna feel dumb after asking this question....but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do...thank-you-2.gif

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Star, the link is only in this thread right now because Brett is doing a beta test on the thing right now. It's not up to full speed yet, he's just doing what the federal government apparently forgot to do with their healthcare website. rofl-3.gifrofl-1.gifrofl-3.gif
