There are companies that hire newbies for tanker. (Sorry don't remember if you're experienced or not). If you are new though, look into schnider, prime, comcar, tidewater transport and I think there are a few more.
I need to finish my first year anyways. But I think I will try to find a bigger company that has tankers and a Walmart dedicated. That way I can just switch within the company.
Yup. I work for Groen**** Transport. I got hired on there right out of school. I love pulling tankers, absolutely love it. Yes, I thought it was a very big learning curve starting out with tankers and no driving experience with the exception to school. Here it is 5 1/2 months in and I still am learning something new everyday. Just to give you an idea of what I do pull, I've been pulling a hard shell here lately transporting butane, the tank will also haul propane. I've pulled some gas/diesel, and we do a lot of asphalt in the summer time. Great outfit to work for, can't see myself anywhere else!

Every time I see a Tanker, I just want to drool. Doesn't matter the kind. Dry bulk, food grade, supercooled gases, fuel. I stilll want to eventually get on WMPF, but. I think my first move will be someplace with tankers. I really, really want to drive a tanker. I already live in a mid roof anyway. I am used to that. Idk.... maybe I am just dreaming. I do already have my Tanker endorsement.
I know Brett has driven tankers. Anybody else out there ever done tankers?
