I'm not a CF'er, but I was in charge of shipping back in the day. Consolidated Freight was our #1 carrier. I had many a free lunch with the CF salesman!
I used to know lots of cf drivers when I worked in a truck stop over 30 years ago.

It's been nearly 15 years since CF went under, just wondering if there are any ex drivers on this forum. Both my parents worked for CF from their Mira Loma terminal , my dad was a driver, my mom worked in sales. Kind of curious if there are any of you on this forum and if so, what were your last days like. My dad never hauled another load in the green & red after labor day, my mom still had a job to to do for a few weeks moving the last freight scattered across the nation, mostly abandoned by now unemployed drivers. Curious how everyone's last week's at CF went.
Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
