Hah that is an awesome story. Don't worry man you will win against that location! But then... you'll be 1:1 so you'd have to successfully get there 1 more time to actually be the winner. lol.
Haha! This place is such a pain. You need to get completely on the other side of the road to make the right turn to get into the complex. Then there was too many trucks and no space. So I spent 20 minutes going back and forth so people can get out of the dock. It took me 25 minutes being here before I had the chance to sign in.
Then I spot a guy to his door. And then I had to go between two trucks on a bad blind side back. He spotted me well and we eventually got it in there. I was inches from the guys headlights and I was also inches from my bumper scraping the concrete wall. That was tight! My feathers are ruffled from that ordeal, time to relax.
I had no trouble getting here, a few confusions but nothing serious. I also saw where I got pulled over and had a lot of flashbacks. So we are 1:1 but that wasn't easy haha!
Wow man, look how far you have come in one year! It's impressive.
Congrats on finally getting a little revenge

Yeah we aren't far. Hope you're doing good with your schooling.
It's been awesome my friend. I just finished up my day on the other forum. You may find some things of interest there. Be safe!!!!
I would have safely did a "control brake" to wake him up. If he wasn't strapped into his bunk, he would have awoke after he hit the floor. Just my course of action. LOL Good luck Daniel. When you coming this way?

Man I rarely ever go to the Carolina's. I been there only one time as a solo driver and that was NC not SC.
Boy Daniel you can tell a story. You are going to be a hoot in about 30 years. What trucker stories you will have. I was only out there for from 86 to 2000, but it was fun.
You did what you needed to do and will do many more times as the years pass.
Thank God most of the cotton mills have closed down. Now those are fun to get in and out of. And the few that are still up and running, those are nightmares.
Congratulations! Good Job!

So just a little story.
When I was in training me and my trainer had a pickup in Wausau, WI. It was probably my fourth day on the road and I had no idea how to do local directions. My trainer had just drove so it was up to me to get to the pickup. My trainer told me to wake him up 15 miles before the city. He never said anything about any exits or anything like that.
So I am 15 miles from Wausau and try to wake him up. But hes a heavy sleeper. I opened the windows and the extremely cold didn't wake him up. I turned on the radio full volume on static and that did not wake him up. I screamed and yelled his name. He's still sleeping. I tried everything for about 10 minutes.
So, I simply decide that I will just follow the GPS.
Oh, boy!
Well. The gps took me on a ramp. Somehow we ended up in the heart of downtown Wausau. The turns were unbelievably tight. We got stranded and lost on non-truck route roads. Then I got pulled over by an officer. At this point my trainer is literally screaming at me and I'm losing my cool and we are seriously about to fight haha! We were both screaming at each other. He was screaming that I didn't wake him up, and I was screaming that I couldn't wake him up because his snoring was louder than I could scream.
Thankfully, the officer was amazing. He simply checked to see my license and he led us to our destination. That night I almost quit trucking. That night was a nightmare that was too much to handle. I called up the family and fiance for emotional support. I walked away from the truck and walked a distance while it was snowing just to get away from my trainer while we were getting loaded.
I don't know how we survived for the next three weeks together. Definitely a terrible start.
Tonight, I have a pickup at that same location. I am honestly nervous and a little scared. That place was a nightmare for me that brought back memories I am trying to forget. Having to go back to that pickup is almost like facing a fear. Honestly, that place kicked my a$$ more than any other location.
And today I get my revenge. I studied the route and am ready to get revenge on the only location that I failed miserably on. Almost a year later, I feel like I'm on a personal mission to redeem myself.
