I'm graduating from trucking school next week. Unfortunately, before I made the decision to go to school, I hit the weed a few times. I know I can pass a urine test by now but not so sure about a hair folicle. Does anyone know if j&r shugal, Ozark, or ptl do hair folicle testing. I found a list but it is outdated. 2015. I know a lot are going to it. Thanks

If all else fails call and ask a recruiter. I know CFI does urin and hair.

I work for werner, and they only do urine, to the best of my knowledge. Also, to the best of my knowledge, DOT accepts only urine tests.... Hair follicle is used by companies only to determine hire/fire... if anyone else can expand on this, I'd be interested...

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

It's hindsight for you but for anyone who's smoked weed, find a reason to wait 30 days to go to trucking school. Don't let those recruiters rush you. They don't gain anything from having you show up and fail, so just tell them you have some loose ends to tie up first.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
