We ran ok for the month, but in the end it fell apart. Codriver's girlfriend wanted to come out so he decided to go solo.

The miles were ok but not great which was frustrating. That had a lot to do with communication and poor planning which lead to some down time.

So I'm back to running solo. My new dm and I had a meeting after Home time so she could put a face to the name and understand my needs and I could understand hers. Since then it has been off to the races.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

As the saying goes, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

This is how you really get the miles and the home time you're looking for. As for the team time, I believe matching a team member is tougher than online dating. You have the experience, now enjoy your solitude.

Apparently the reefer division is getting a little makeover with the merger. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out. Mainly all upper management but still.

I will definitely be enjoying some solitude. Thanks Errol.
