So I am very happy to say that I passed my permit test and will be heading out to school soon. I was so nervous when I was ready to take it and just tried to take my time so that I didn't pass. I used the High Road training to practice and also used an app on my phone called DMV Genie. Both of these things were very helpful and the DMV genie app even had some of the actual questions on the test in the app. I like the High Road training manual so that you know why the answers are what they are so you are educated as well and can know the answers. I am so happy I found this site and have been helped along the way to this journey of becoming a trucker. The information is always on point and not sugar coated. Thank you Brett for what you do to help us all.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.
