I am getting ready to apply for company paid school. I really want to get hired on with Rhoel. Other than getting my CDL permit can anyone tell me what other documents I will need? I want to have all my ducks in a row before I apply. Oh and I am in Ohio. Can I take my permit test here? And how long will it be good for? Thanks for any help.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

First ask roehl if you need to get the permit at home. some companies do it that way and others have you get it from them. its a waste of money to get it at home if roehl makes you do that and the physical over.

second....be sure to have a state certified raised seal birth certificate. not a copy...not from the hospital but one from the vital statistics of your state. also bring hour social security card, past W2s, last few pay stubs, marriage certificate and divorce certificate (again raised seals no copies or lawyer papers).

bring a blank check for hour direct deposit to go in. if you dont have checks you can get a form from the bank with the needed info.

I have an original birth certificate from California vital statistics office. The borders are raised and it is watermarked. Got it in 1995. Does it matter who I am married to? We are estranged but never got divorced.

I have been married 4 times and divorced three times. Lol. All those papers might be a problem to get a hold of. I do have my last divorce and current marriage though. Is that good enough?

woah woman! lol

depends on the DMV. In NJ cause if the Real ID Act of 2005, we needed to document all name changes. So my mom who got married in 1960 to a first hubby needed that certificate, .but the hubby changed their last name for.busniess reasons and so they divorced in a second name. then she married my dad in 1973. they asked her for the marriage divorce and name change papers at the DMV last year lol

she didnt have them and pulled an old lady rant on them so the guy went nuts..."yeah ok lady..youre not a terrorist. heres your license" lol

people in others states may not have the same problem. or if you went back to your maiden name after hubby 3 then got married it might be easier.

id check.with both CA DMV and tge state of whatever company you go to.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

Marriage/divorce certificates are usually needed for insurance.

My last name is still my married name from my third husband whom I have a daughter with. I never took my last husband's name. My social security card and driver's license has it on it. Like I said my last husband is estranged and I don't have his name, never did and won't be putting him on any of my insurance. I just don't want to get "sent home" over lack of marriage/divorce papers
