I was wondering if anyone knows if McElroy truck lines offers CDL training. I noticed on their job postings an opportunity to get your CDL, but was wondering if they have their own school or can get financing for the class through them. I have been looking at TMC and them, and would also like any input anyone might have on either company.

Thank you very much. I called them and will post what they tell me when they call me back.

Christian,
I'm sitting here waiting on my truck to be loaded but I caught your question. McElroy is a really good company that has a good school for someone who wants to learn how to drive (CDL) as well as become proficient in flatbed loads.

Thank you so much for the info. I am really hoping to hear back from them soon.

It’s something new they started. I think they arrange a school & scholarship for you in return for a work agreement. I’ll see if I can get that verified. My actual trainer/mentor is filling in as the Texas recruiter right now. I’ll call him tomorrow and if I can’t reach him I’ll call Cuba.
Ok, here’s the lowdown. They are partnering up with some different schools and McElroy will sponsor you (scholarship) to pay for you to get your CDL with you signing a 1 year work agreement.

Thank you so much. I appreciate both you and USMC AAV responding to my questions.

Thank you for checking into the training. I received a call from the recruiter who said that I am outside the hiring area (I am from Delaware). I am not giving up yet.... I will figure out some way to get into this line of work.
