It stands for "Reporting Out Of State Test results". I went to my WV DMV this morning tho get my CDL that i passed in Ohio on Thursday. I was told that it is not in the system yet and that it can take 24/72 hours after my test for the ROOSTr system to update.

*SIGH*

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Yes, there's a 72 hour window for that to clear. It will probably be available to you tomorrow.

Patience my friend - this is only the beginning of waiting on the unknown. You're a professional driver now. We are experts at the waiting game. We develop ways to make our wait times productive as opposed to stewing in frustration. It's one of the many challenges that most rookies are completely unprepared for.

Keep checking back with them. I'd check back mid afternoon today and then again mid morning tomorrow.

You might check with the training facility also to make sure they've done their part.

Thanks Old School. I did check with the testing facility and everything is good on their part. I guess i will just have to wait. I worked so hard for that little piece of plastic. I just wanted to feel it in my hands today. LOL!

Hi, I didnt know what it was called but I took and passed my test in Springfield Mo. on 10-9-18 and was told it would be 2-3 days for the results to show in Arkansas, it took 2 days until Arkansas had my results. I got the CDL on the 11th which was fast enough I guess but like you I couldnt wait to get the CDL in my hands!!! Of course it took another week and a half until I could use it but I didnt care, I just wanted hard proof of what I had worked so hard for in my hands!!! lol
