This might help you a little, too. While technically legal to drive with my trailer tire like this, my employer had me get a new tire. There was still plenty of tread depth, even with the damage to the tire. Chunks can be missing from tires, and still be road worthy.
Anyone know if this might be a DOT violation, looks like rubber was torn off of Tire? Rest of Tire is good...
