So my truck is falling apart. I got this 2016 Frightliner with 448,000 miles on it. First the starter went out, then the air dryer then the surge tank then the bunk heater (twice) and now something is seriously wrong with the brakes and one drive axle tire has a leak. Sunday while I was parked and away from the truck, I got sideswiped by a hit and run driver who broke the passenger side mirror and took off the passenger side bat wing. I guess I’m hard on equipment but I wonder what’s next.

TWIC:

Transportation Worker Identification Credential

Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.

Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Just think of the bind you would be in if you were a Lease/OP! NO INCOME and thousands in repair bills. For the life of me, I can't figure how people take on that responsibility and risk. Many of these companies lease trucks to drivers with that type of mileage for $800- $900 PER WEEK. We all know who is coming out on top of that deal.
