Welcome aboard Danny!
The first rule in the trucking industry when it comes to landing a job is being persistent and proactive. Don't wait on recruiters to call you. Apply for a truck driving job company-sponsored training and then start making phone calls like mad. Believe me, you won't be bugging them. The recruiters get paid a commission of sorts and they prefer to spend their time pursuing people they feel have the best chance of coming to their company. So when you're persistent about calling them and you're eager to engage with them you'll get a lot more attention and your app will be processed faster.
So apply like crazy and then make calls like crazy. And don't make the mistake of thinking you're dealing with a lousy company if their recruiters aren't jumping at the chance to speak with you. It doesn't mean anything. That's just the nature of recruiting in the trucking industry - it's very hard to get in touch with people.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A Company-Sponsored Training Program is a school that is owned and operated by a trucking company.
The schooling often requires little or no money up front. Instead of paying up-front tuition you will sign an agreement to work for the company for a specified amount of time after graduation, usually around a year, at a slightly lower rate of pay in order to pay for the training.
If you choose to quit working for the company before your year is up, they will normally require you to pay back a prorated amount of money for the schooling. The amount you pay back will be comparable to what you would have paid if you went to an independently owned school.
Company-sponsored training can be an excellent way to get your career underway if you can't afford the tuition up front for private schooling.
I mean if your situation is really bad and you need cdl training now, call CRST Van, Swift, Cr england, Celadon, I think they all have company sponsored training. I'm not saying these are bad company's or good company's its just the ones I know train and employ very quickly

Prime will give you a bus ticket to get to school. They will pay for your lodging while in school. Once you get into to the TNT phase of training, they will pay you $400 or $500 a week. They, also, will let you "draw" $200 a week before you TNT training. Just be aware that the money you use on "draw" will be taken out of your future checks once you start driving. If I had no money, this is where I would look.
I think Knight pays through training as well.
Prime Inc has their own CDL training program and it's divided into two phases - PSD and TNT.
The PSD (Prime Student Driver) phase is where you'll get your permit and then go on the road for 10,000 miles with a trainer. When you come back you'll get your CDL license and enter the TNT phase.
The TNT phase is the second phase of training where you'll go on the road with an experienced driver for 30,000 miles of team driving. You'll receive 14ยข per mile ($700 per week guaranteed) during this phase. Once you're finished with TNT training you will be assigned a truck to run solo.
I thank you all for your advice
