Got this one from a fellow classmate...

He said an instructor told him they reject 90% of the people who apply. (Didn't think to ask if that was CDL holders or non-CDL holders. Student added that trainer said "you should feel pretty good about just being here - because 90% of those who apply aren't!" (or words to that affect).

We concluded (rightly or wrongly) that they probably try to get everyone they can through the entire process.

Qualifications testing tomorrow and Friday!

I played football in college and I was never as nervous as I was when I was testing... I failed backing the first day, and I have to tell you I was never so nervous the next day. But I had a guy in my class that took a toy truck and it all of a sudden clicked. Good luck to you mark you can do this buddygood-luck.gifgood-luck.gifgood-luck.gifgood-luck-2.gifgood-luck-2.gifgood-luck-2.gifundefined

You don't need us to wish you good luck.

You can do it all on your own! No worries!

Think it through, just don't overcomplicate it, Marc.

smile.gif Thanks all. I just need to keep my head in the game, and turn it off when necessary!

Workflow / pre-planning on the Qualcomm in the morning... potentially backing, pre-trip, driving in the PM (all pretty much "tests"). Supposed to rain hard most of the day!

Good thing I had all the allowed job aids (and my own custom versions of theirs) laminated! Bonus of that decision was studying in the whirlpool!

Just need to allow trailer to start moving towards the hole (45 degree setup) before making stupid steering inputs!

We get 15 minutes (unmeasured) and unlimited GOAL's to get it in the hole!

Qualcomm:

Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.
