I don't really see you having a problem getting employment. Just be sure and list it if they ask.
If it is not on record yet, you should be ok. Just answer the application truthfully but only give what they ask for nothing .
Shouldn't be a problem - but of course it depends on the nature of the charge. For example: misdemeanor DRUG POSSESSION - likely a problem, as would a THEFT CHARGE. A charge that can end you up incarcerated, could be a problem. One that requires a court appearance while you are out on the road - could be a problem.
Not a MAJOR PROBLEM that would prevent a hire once it's resolved (depending on the severity), but something that could put a kink in your startup timing while it's still an open case.
Giving us a clue as to what the charge is - might enable us to give some more specific advice.
Since applications ask for CONVICTIONS (and most don't ask for misdemeanors) - as others have said - BE HONEST.

Hello I am in school and have had my background check run and driving record both are clean. I am about to finish school and yesterday I get a notice of a misdemeanor from several years ago (I was not aware of), I was not arrested, nor is there a warrant for my arrest. I was simply served a summons to appear. I have an attorney handling the legal matter. He advises me it could take 4-5 months to work through the system. This is my dilemma: I need to start driving for a company within 3 months of graduation or repeat classes. Is there any company that may hire me with a pending misdemeanor while it works its way through the system? Any other suggestions? Recommendations? I have worked really hard to get to this point with a bunch invested in this career already. Please help!
