Chris, large fleets have their own secure yards strategically located across the country. I would assume these yards are for smaller independent O/O's or small fleets. I honestly am not familiar with them or the use of them. To be honest, I'd never even heard of them until you asked this question.
I never heard of it either. Here is a link to their website: Terminal Exchange Services
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Thanks you guys.
I'm trying to help a friend who's opening a new parking facility in the Springfield, MO area with a few simple goals: 1.)Affordable secure parking for drivers and owner operators 2.) An easy to use reservation system for drivers to book overnight or monthly stays and to access their space 24/7.
It's been a big project and construction will be completed soon. With that in mind we've been looking at the idea of partnering with different companies like this to help fill some of our monthly space reservations, and wanted to know how driver experiences were in some of their partner lots.
Any input you all may have on truck parking lots (the good, the bad, or the ugly) is all appreciated because we want to know what driver need out of a lot these days so that we can do our best to offer a great experience.
Thanks again!
An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.

Anybody know anything about txs secure parking yards? Are they only for large fleets? And do they arrange overnight stays? Are they easy to access if you've never been there?
