Chains on... gotta keep driving because there's no place to stop. (Not going to sit on the side of the road).

REALLY?

H e DOES acknowledge probably best to park it when chains are required.

Hmm...

What is that white stuff on the road? I vaguely remember that stuff last winter. But it's coming.

Thanks for the pic.

Raptor...

To be clear... that is not a current or recent picture and not one that I took.

It is a screen grab I made from a YouTube video.

What struck me as odd was the apparent disparity between driver's narrative and the video.

He says he isn't going to stop because there is no place to pull over and he isn't going to just stop on the side of the road. He adds by way of a "disclaimer" that it is probably best to shut it down rather than to chain up (as he had earlier).

Less than 2 minutes into the video and in the middle of his narrative he blows by this rest area!

As a friend pointed out to me... it is possible it was not plowed and may not have been an option. Will have to rewatch to confirm. But he never raised the issue - in fact he never even acknowledged it's presence!

I believe he was focused on the video, his being wet and cold from not having proper gear (or paying someone else to chain him up), and the only 30 miles or so to his planned stop.

Just struck me as a bit odd, and a bit funny, where it not so serious...
