A lot of the LTL companies do hire new drivers and train them, but it's based on need. I don't know if central is one of them.
Old Dominion, FedEx freight, SAIA, Estes and A Duie Pyle do, but it's based on need.
Bobcat Bob started his career at old Dominion and he has no regrets. He's loving it.
I got my CDL through FedEx Freight's driver apprentice program and I'm loving every minute of it. At FedEx freight you would be required to go through the driver apprentice program if you have less than a year of experience.

Welcome to our forum Sal!
Please, give us a little more information if you can.
How did you get your CDL?
Who are you driving for currently?
Why are you wanting to move to another company?
Why do you think you need "further training?"
I think we can help you, but it would help us know how to advise you if you could provide some answers to those questions.

Hello all,
I am new to this forum and commercial driving in general, and I am seeking advice from experienced drivers. I recently looked into getting hired by Central Transport out here in San Bernardino. Is this company recommended for new drivers? I have had my CDL for a few months now and things have been relatively smooth, but I would like further training. Does Central Transport give out training manuals, paid training (or any training), etc.?
Thanks in advance for your help!
