Glad to hear you are out of A-fib. I am all too familiar with your situation as I have been dealing with A-fib for several years now. Actually had a cardio-conversion as well. Scary process to shock ones heart back into the correct rhythm.
My suggestion is to find the best cardiologist or specifically an electrophysiologist (specialist in the electrical makeup of the heart) as soon as possible. After approximately 8 years I feel I am stable with the correct dosage of medication. Early on I would go into A-Fib almost monthly, which slowed to every few months and currently I went almost a whole year before I experienced another attack. Just had my 6 month visit and we decided to increase my one medication dosage in an attempt to extend the time between attacks. I have the opportunity to do an ablation, but with the success rate at just over 50%, I have chosen to not have them put a hole in my heart in attempt to fix the bad wiring.
Good luck and I hope you are able to get yours stabilized ASAP.
