I took this advise since I'm checking my truck into the shop today! Now my truck was already cleaned, I just had to put some stuff away that I normally lie on my bed during the day. But just made things a lot easier if they have to get back there. So no random **** bottles or anything like that!
Plus Crete actually makes us sign a paper that states the truck is cleaned, no trash on the floor, no human waste, all tools and sharp objects are put away and things like that. And if these requirements aren't met, they will refuse to work on the truck until it is and I believe you can be written up(the last two things is what I heard during orientation from the orientation instructor)
Funny timing, I have to take my truck in this afternoon. I usually keep it as clean anyway, but I just wrapped up vacuuming and wiping down the dash while I was waiting to be loaded. I was told the mechanics report on the condition of the cab on each visit and it can impact future truck assignments and generally how they take care of your truck while it’s in the shop. I have heard of drivers written up for not taking care of the equipment.

The truck wasnt a loaner, I was just getting paid to drive it back to the terminal for them. I dont know if one could refuse a truck assignment or not even if temporary.
Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
