Does anyone have any info on how to improve a PSP score? Out of work and having a hard time getting a job.
Howdy, Earl ... and welcome to Trucking Truth !!!
Here's an informative link that may help you find what you are asking about:
Understanding PSP and CSA scores in Trucking
Moreso, you may be wondering what your previous company(ies) have put on your DAC report:
Understanding your DAC report in Trucking
If we had more information as to what 'plagues' you, the members and moderators on here (and the site owner!) would gladly be able to help you more. We don't bite, troll, nor judge...just help as we can!
Lastly, here's how to get a free copy of your DAC report from HireRight (one free copy/year.) :
"Go to www.hireright.com then go down to the bottom of the page and click the link “cdl driver reports, then under “ordering a copy of your dac report” you are going to click on the link “Hire Right Consumer Report Request form” then you print out the form fill it out sign it and send it in. It's that easy."
Sure hope this helps; please let us know a little bit more about yourself, and your driving career...and any other mitigating circumstances as to why your driving record isn't 'up to par.' We have many 'collective souls' around here that will sure be more than willing to help!!
Best to you, Earl. Let us know what you find, and if it's what you were looking for. Be safe in the times, sir~!
Anne :)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
The CSA is a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) initiative to improve large truck and bus safety and ultimately reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities that are related to commercial motor vehicle
A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.
You can request your DAC once a year, on-line, for free. Nothing to send in.
