I started team driving in February with the love of my life. He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in March. I am thinking about trying truck driving again and am unsure if I want to go solo or team with someone I don't know. Any input or advice is appreciated. Thank you

Jellybean,

By all means you need to continue with truck driving. You have suffered a huge loss and my heart goes out to you. If and when you return to driving I personally would go solo to get back in the groove. As long as everything works out for you then you can always return to team driving if the desire is still there.

Your mind is ready but your heart will determine when the time is right. Good luck to you and success in all you do.

It sounds like you just started your career. If that's the case you may not have a choice going team or solo without having a continuation of your training... unless you got through that. If the company you were running for with your significant other will hire you, you may be able to go solo. You will need to do some checking first before making the decision to go solo or team.

Here is a thought... being solo.may allow you too much time in your own head. having a partner may break up the boredom and solitude.

I have a Youtube channel if you click on my profile... one of the playlists is teaming... discusses the advantages and disadvantages for new drivers.

I also have a team blog article here..
