That's interesting. I was looking at Prime myself and remembered seeing that they only required 3 years removed from DUI to drive for them, 4 years removed from DUI for acceptance into their school. Wonder why the gentleman from Prime said 5 years, unless I'm not understanding something here.

Hiring policies can change with the wind depending on demand at any given time. Right now it's the slowest time of the year so a lot of companies will raise their hiring standards just a bit. Once the demand picks up they'll lower them just a bit. They'll constantly tweak their hiring requirements to maintain a balance between supply and demand.

Its 4 years with Prime .Which start 1year after your cdl disqualification ends.Total 5 years from conviction date.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
