Do places have separate men's showers & women's showers; or do you just wait your turn and all use the same ones?

All truck stops have private showers. you usually get shower credits on your fuel cards, so your showers won't cost you anything. Most of them are very nice...some even have jetted tubs, saunas, and the like. They all provide clean towels,,,and you can ask for an extra, if you need it ( i have long hair, and they always gave me extra). Some give you wash cloths, some don't ...I always preferred my own. WEAR SHOWER FLIP FLOPS...always...they keep the showers clean...but just in case....Some have soaps, some don't ...I take in my own. Some have hair dryers...Just go with your own stuff, and enjoy the hot water !!!!

Ha Ha! I did not word my original question very well! I didn't think that everybody goes in together (yikes), but rather, I wondered if there are showers that are designated for use by only women. Sorry guys, I guess I expect your showers to be kinda grungy. Glad to hear that they are well kept.

And if they are not clean....you go complain.....I have done it...I won't use a dirty bathroom or shower...and since they get paid for the use, they have a responsibility to keep it clean. But most of them are super clean...they are all tile, and they hose them down, literally, with steam/hot water, after sanitizing...pretty nice.

Okay ladies, forgive my intrusion here into your territory, but since you girls will be getting into the same shower rooms as the guys I guess you'll allow me into your forum every now and then. Deb, I shower at Flying J and Pilot truck stops and the showers are not segregated, but they are very nice and kept very clean. These stores almost always have a staff person or two whose sole job is keeping the showers, towels, and wash rags clean and ready for the next customer who might need them. The shower rooms are almost always tile from floor to ceiling which makes it easier for them to scrub it nice and clean. I just happen to have a photo of a shower room because I had taken it to show to my daughter who rode with me for a little while.

Here's a typical truck stop shower.

Well, that looks really nice! A photo really is worth a thousand words. That shower room looks way better than many places I've used when camping!

Haha..Yeah, I'm lurking around here, too...There were a couple of the TS's that I was in and out of last year that DID have a separate shower area for the ladies...not the rule, generally, but they are there...and yes, all of the shower's that I was in were very clean..

I'm digging that fan!!! I need to take a small one with me anyway just in case there's no way to cool down after a hot shower! I tend to have my water so hot, I look like I've been out in the sun all day!rofl-3.gif

Thanks for the picture Old School!
