Jamie, have you noticed how your loads have improved as your abilities have improved? That's how this business works. The folks who are dependable and easy to work with will always be getting treated pretty well out here. When we struggle as rookies we always tend to think it's because we've chosen the wrong company, or maybe we think we are on the wrong account. But nobody trusts their rookie drivers like they do their experienced veteran top performers. Trucking is a career that we have got to sort of grow into. Once we start gaining the mastery of dealing with the issues that face us daily, we begin to be counted on more heavily by the folks distributing the loads.
I've watched you for several years now. You have gotten more confident, and are able to handle the job so much better now days. Can you remember how inconsistent you were at the beginning? You've come a long ways - Congratulations!
Your experience demonstrates what we have always taught about this business being performance based. Now that you are really performing the job well you are getting the best loads coming your way. That's because you can be counted on. That's something you have established. Keep up that great work. It will always be rewarded.
