High Road CDL Training Program
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
If you do not have experience driving a tractor trailer, you will have a hard time getting a local job right away. Do you have a truck and CDL A holder to take you to take your test?
If you have no experience we highly recommend going through Paid CDL Training Programs. While this list is not complete, it will give you an idea of your options. With these companies you can get free training as long as you drive for them for a year. Some may be longer.
If you have only used your CDL to drive a bucket truck you will most likely need at least one year of OTR driving to get that local job.

Hey guys newbie to the forum here. i have an A CLASS CDL with an e restriction. Now i know in maryland to get ir removed I can just take the learners again and just take a road test to get it removed. The road test is with a synchronized trans so easy on that. I can drive a 10 speed earon fuller pretty decent so im.not worried about getting out in a truck with that. Can someone steer me in the right direction of what i should study to pass my learners for gettinf my restriction removed. its been awhile. And is it on this site ill pay for it. Also looking to get a career started in trucking. I live in the Washington DC area specifically southern Maryland. Would like to do non otr driving. Maybe equipment hauling of that sort? Im 31 and currently drive a bucket truck for a utility company now but love being kn the road driving.
