Try going to thetruckingstore.com. It is about a thirty dollar book, but they had it last time I checked.
I am new to trucking and started flatbed trucking 3 weeks ago. Still in training. My trainer has a book called Practical Cargo Securement. It has plenty of pretty pictures on how to secure any load. Cant seem to find it in any book store. Any suggestions?
Hay, Michael S.; welcome to Trucking Truth~!!!!
Amazon has this, available for Kindle, instantly.
They also carry a 'similar' one on Amazon that I've seen, in 'person' version, called Cargo Securement which actually looks better to me; considering it is put out by J.J. Keller. One of the best names in the trucking industry.
Hope this helps!!!

ps: In the meantime, if you have time to peruse the forum, we have a great group of flatbedders here, that could offer up (even by reading their threads) tons of information. Turtle, Old School, Rob D. come to mind; there are more!!

Sorry to startle you Anne! I have been without water, electricity or internet for over a week now. Apparently our Texas electrical grid was not prepared for a winter storm of this magnitude. I am coming back slooowly!
I'll be back soon, but right now I am still working on getting things back to normal around here. My wife will be a lot happier when she can take a bath!

Boss man told me a bit yesterday; I got worried when I heard about a family in your county that got their generator too close to the house on the porch, and the CO gas overtook. I've got the cold/flu/scare like you had; tested negative, too. Kinda sux. I'm a worrier, haha!
Tell your wife, here's an idea, all with melted snow. Just make sure y'all put the bottom of the craw pan BACK in the snow for a minute so the bottom won't burn hers.
(And I'm sure she'd fit!!)
To the O/P, Michael S. This shows what a close group we have here, in our forum; should you choose to hang around Trucking Truth. Old School, the legend. Yessir!!!

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
