I guess I could start going down the list of companies near me who train and hire. What do I look for? A regular tractor training school? What do I say when they call? I feel stupid saying will you pay for my school if I work for you haha. I really just want to pay for school and work and have them train me to work. I really need help on this one. I dont want to sound dumb. As soon as I get an answer of how to do this I am going to start calling ASAP! Thanks

Your thoughts and questions are the same that most people have when they look into truck driving.

Also, tap on the three-bar menu at the top left. Then find "Trucking Wiki" toward the bottom of the list.

Try this: just below that three bar thingy is the search box. Search on "Questions to ask your recruiter". Enjoy.

OOS:

You might want to reach out to A. Duie Pyle, they have a training academy in Mass. Their main head quarters and other training facility is near me in West Chester PA. They only run the general North East, Virginia to Maine, as far west as Ohio I believe . They have terminals and warehouses all over that region

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
