If I'm not mistaken you were hit when you parked but weren't in a parking spot, or completely in a spot right? Thats much different than this situation where Davy was in a legal marked spot. It seems Roehl firing you was overkill for that but it seems things worked out well for you in the end, Andrey.
Yes, that's right, in some sense I am even glad that I was fired - I got a local job, and in three months learned more than I probably would have learned in a full year of regional driving :-) What I am saying here is that my both brakes were set at the time of that incident, yet Roehl told me that my truck had been moving. I requested to see the video or any records confirming that but my request was denied.
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.

In my case, Id been parked there, in the same spot for 24 hours. My DM confirmed that it was all good, said it was a non preventable and chuckled a little bit about it. He said it in no way reflects badly on me and apologized that I was even stuck there in the first place. Its irritating, but could have been way worse.
Dm:
Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager
The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
