Looking for list of Second Chance Companies after SAP program?OTR, Regional or Reno, NV area
Howdy, James!
Not sure if you have your CDL or not yet, but I'd start here:
Our application links INCLUDE a few companies that may give you a chance.
In addition, you can try Western Express ... but they no longer train since their last years' tornado.
You can try CFI, now that they've acquired UPS and Transport America (and will soon be branded TFI) I'm betting they'll be hiring heavily. They currently evaluate EVERY situation on a case by case basis, per Big Scott.
Another 'Ace' card I know of here in Ohio, is Dutch Maid Logistics. You can apply via their website; they've not quite yet partnered with our site's application.
I wish you well; hope you stop back & let us know what gives~!

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
How much experience do you have? It won't be easy getting hired but if you're an experienced driver that will help. I read elsewhere that W.E. and possibly Trans Am took someone on that went through S.A.P.
Please keep us updated with what you find out so we can assist others in similiar situations.
