Crisis Averted

So….I was heading to my store last night to park up for my delivery today. Just coming off of a weeks vacation. I was driving through some rolling hills and it was very humid so my windows started fogging up. Turned on the defroster with heat until the window cleared up and when i tried to put it back to AC I couldn’t get cold air again. In fact it was blowing hotter than the 12th circle of Hell! Lol I tried to turn it off for a few minutes then back on . Didn’t work! When I got to my stop I shut the truck off for a few minutes and still blowed out hot. I thought “This is not gonna do at all”

So I went to YouTube and did a search and found a video on how to reset my ac system. Evidently the blender (?) valve can get stuck open in the freighliner and can make it keep the heat blowing. So on a new freightliner if you have the engine off, key set to accessory, air flow to off, heat cool to heat, and vent position at your face. You push in on the air flow and heat/cool knobs at the same time till they start blinking. Once you stop , turn in the truck and see if it works! And fortunately it did!

That video saved my bacon! I learned something and didn’t have to go to a shop. Which I fully planned on doing after my unload cause papa pig don’t roll without ac LOL!

Glad you deciphered the 'code' ... omiwow! Writing that one down; might work in my guy's Mack; who knows?!?

Always helps to be a little mechanically inclined out there; right?!?! Sheesh; amazing!
