Hey all, I've been contemplating working for JB Hunt and have been trying to figure out if they have a VA program that lets you draw money monthly from your GI Bill. However, I can't find any info to verify this on their site, and I'd be shocked if they didn't have this considering how supportive they seem of veterans and how large they are. Does anyone know if they do?

When was your separation date from active duty? There is a time limit going from that date and the time you begin driving.

You're good on that timeline, then. I think the cutoff is within 24 months.

As for yay or any with JB, I don't know. I would call their recruiters on Monday, or see about this online.

I don’t think they do as they don’t train new drivers and need at least 3 months to join them (if I’m not mistaken) and I’m pretty sure it needs to be your first trucking company to participate.

I know the following companies Have it. Some have a 2 year payout and some have a 1 year program. And the amount you receive is different based on where the company hq is located Tmc Maverick Werner Swift Covenant Tankstar/Rogers Cartage McElroy Gypsum express Averitt Cfi

Those are not all inclusive but those companies were offering the va apprenticeship a little over a year ago

I thought JB hunt was waiving the 3 months experience needed for veterans. Or at least that’s what they were doing when I talked to one back in 2018 I think it was.
