If Kerry's agenda is what you say then I agree but disagree w the handling of it. "Shame on the Mess".

Sometimes you must go through darkness to get to the light. I could have just banned him from the forum a while ago, which I very much wanted to, but then everyone would have been like, "Hey, why did you do that? You're a ruthless dictator! You banned a polite, kind person just because he mentioned racism! We hate you! You're racist!"

So I gave him enough rope to hang himself. I let him keep talking. People with an agenda, especially a false one, will eventually reveal themselves. They'll lose track of their lies or try too hard and accidentally expose themselves.

So one might say, "Hey Brett, you're talking like racism isn't much of an issue these days and that most of this is fabricated, but you're just a privileged white guy. What could you possibly know about it?"

Well, I always have an ace up my sleeve. My niece is married to a black guy and they have two black children. In all these years, no one has ever said a word to myself or anyone in my family about it. Not a word. Simply put, it's quite common these days. Almost no one thinks anything of it. Those that do hang onto old beliefs normally recognize that the world has moved past those beliefs so they keep their mouth shut.

Why haven't I mentioned this before? Because who cares? Really, who cares? No one. It's not an issue. It doesn't even make for interesting conversation. Interracial couples are commonplace and have been for a long time. That doesn't mean everyone approves, but it does mean that most people do and almost no one cares about that stuff anymore.

We try to keep the topics related to trucking, but when I see an opportunity to point out something that applies to all of us and today's society, I like to run with it. I want to help people become truck drivers, but I also would like to help people live happy, fulfilling lives and help our society evolve into a better place for everyone.

So I put myself out there on a limb sometimes. I get some hate for it, but I don't mind. I know who I am; I know what I believe in, and I speak and live by my beliefs. I created this website in the image I had for it and it's been enormously successful. We've literally helped millions of people over the years.

Like I've said, no one agrees with everything I say or do. I have no illusions about that. But I don't wake up in the morning thinking about how I can try to please everyone. I wake up in the morning thinking about what I can do to improve myself, improve my life, and improve the lives of the people I come in contact with. If that means I have to ruffle some feathers to protect this community's integrity, I'll do that.

I'm not Buddha. I'm not the Dalai Lama. Hell, I'm not even Old School, who has such a gift for speaking diplomatically that he could tell you that your mother is fat and ugly and you would shake his hand and thank him for it! What a gift that man has for wording things in the least offensive way possible!

I have no such gift, but my intentions are equally dignified. I always try to do the right thing. I may not handle it with as much grace as others, but my intentions, my truthfulness, and my integrity are beyond reproach. That's just me. I always try to improve, but I never have to repair my integrity and I never go against what I believe in. That's what you'll get from me. If that's not what you're looking for, I understand if you go elsewhere.

No worries. I simply confused you with someone else and again, I apologize for that.

To end this thread, I will say hello. I wish Kerry well with his training etc Never discuss religion or politics. It will end bad. I could go on w one of my rambles but I will hush. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas. And may the highways be safe, you run lots of miles and if it fits get home to your families. Chris, I agree with you. To a point.

It's sad how that ended, but I'll stay out of it. We really NEEDED a good DML training thread; sux it went sideways. Optical went on with DML but 'barely' came back to 'update' via my nagging/requests.

Luc is still at DML..

Kerry....we wish you the best. That thread is ... what it is, sadly IMHO.... so, I'll just wish him the best, as well.

Shutting the thread,

Not my call. Sometimes a person needs to eat 'humble pie.' Someone didn't.

Carry on, good sir. LOVE LITTLE FEAT!!! 'Took me to the river, where she cast a spell!' Lowell... yeah!

The Candyman song... rocks! (Won't post the lyrics tho!)

Best to all.

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Tom Waits. The avant-garde Bob Dylan

LoL ... When I first read that, I thought you were referring to my 'household!' It's true, tho . . . 'Tom Waits!' I remember now...tho!

"I was once out strolling one very hot summer's day, When I thought I'd lay myself down to rest, In a big field of tall grass, I laid there in the sun and felt it caressing my face...."

Love this one!! ^^ Just don't like fighting . . . !!!
