Bison USA acquired Hartt

Bison Transport (CCJ Top 250, No. 52) rang in the new year with the acquisition of Bangor, Maine-based Hartt Transportation (No. 187).

Among the largest truckload carriers in the Northeastern U.S., Hartt's fleet includes more than 360 tractors and 2,100 trailers, along with a brokerage arm.

The acquisition comes a year to the day that Bison Transport was acquired by James Richardson & Sons (JRSL).

I know Bison acquired HOW in Wisconsin recently. I Think Bison is growing aggressively.

Just a side note, Mr. HO Woulding turned 109 last year and seems to be in good health. Heck, I’m 69 and he may out live me.

They bought HOW right when I started January 2019, they had already bought Britton Transport before then.

Herb is alive and kicking, I saw pictures of him at the terminal on his 109th birthday.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
