Fell off a ladder at home and dislocated my femur bone on Jan 21, 2022. Been off work ever since. I have finally had time to transfer my Nevada CDL to Indy but cannot do so till next week when cleared to go back to work. I moved back from Nv. Over a year ago and never found the time to get to Indiana. Cdl. Now I find out Nv. Has canceled my Cdl clear back in August. wow I have been driving without CDL for 5 months not knowing it. I guess as long as it's not over a year; I am all right? Just take 50 question test? Will this have any other repercussions? Life long procrastinator.

  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.

Call Indiana and ask them or just go and find out. Do you want one of us to go down there and ask for you?

Why do you have to be cleared to go back to work to get your CDL changed over to your current state or take care of the problem with your previous state? It should have nothing to do with you having a broken bone that was healing.

With your CDL being cancelled back in Aug why would you think you have a year grace?? Each State has different time frames but most have 30 to 90 days grace to get your license switched. What you have to take for a test, I don't know. You better get in gear and get it straightened out.

Did you perhaps forget to renew your medical card back in August? That'll do it.
