Hi all im in my first week of training at NTTS in Buffalo will my past employment History hinder me from finding a Job im 43 and worked many Different jobs in my past and was Laid off in 2020 for a year during Covid. I worked mostly in Heavy equipment and had many diffrent jobs with contraction company's like 5 in the past 4 years does my Non driving job history effect my getting a Driving job /

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Pre-hire letters are acceptance letters from trucking companies to students, or even potential students, to verify placement. The trucking companies are saying in writing that the student, or potential student, appears to meet the company's minimum hiring requirements and is welcome to attend their orientation at the company’s expense once he or she graduates from truck driving school and has their CDL in hand.

The people that receive a pre-hire letter are people who meet the company's minimum hiring requirements, but it is not an employment contract. It is an invitation to orientation, and the orientation itself is a prerequisite to employment.
During the orientation you will get a physical, drug screen, and background check done. These and other qualifications must be met before someone in orientation is officially hired.
Hi thanks week 2 almost done got my permit and doubles triples and tanker endorsements done while doing my permit tests soon as I get my license I can take hazmat and going for metal coils also I’m doing the 6 week basic course so should be done on the 27th of July I drove yard jockey for a time so backing and other stuff is quit easy 😁

Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations
