I have an 06 KW that was looking to convert it from from spring suspension to airbags. I see a lot of older guys who have been running tanker say its the best thing for comfort but have also heard others say it is a bad idea. Anyone have any input?

If I had my own truck of any make, that's probably one of the first modifications I would perform.

PJ would be one to know... tanks, and all the other stuff... like the wife working the switchboard, too. His layout, until recently; changing his haul and product.

We sure DO have other tanker yankers; company for the most part; look it up in the search bar above.

When WE pulled tanks in this, we had BOTH spring and suspension ~ Asphalt, 6122 & 3257, yet some hazmat mixed in.. (not w/me on board HZ,) all placarded, no matter.

ps: Why not test your luck, with QC, Bynum, Groen d y k e , or Crossett .. before even THINKING the thoughts you are ?!?!? There's more, but those are some of the 'known' tanker outfits. You should see who would even TAKE y'all on..with what you plan to buy! Yes, those mentioned take O/O's..contract.

(Random on a 'tanker' loadboard right now.. sheesh. The guy we drove that Pete for, switched to flats, like PJ ... also.)

HAZMAT:

Hazardous Materials

Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
