The Canadian interview will be in French. Hope you studied.

Just an update so the data is here and can be found if someone else is digging
I had scheduled both my FAST and NEXUS interviews for Nov 9 2022 in Sault Sainte Marie. Yesterday Sep 27 2022 I got an email saying my ttp profile had changed. Logged in and they're both already approved.
I'm not sure if already having my SENTRI or TWIC or HME check and prints all 3 on file facilitated that approval sans interview (my previous interview was with US CBP only for SENTRI) but kinda glad I don't have to use 2 days home time driving to the Canadian border even if I woulda snuck in some tourism after the interview.
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

That IS good to know! Tom's having had his TWIC and Passport, probably moved his HME along quickly (quicker) we're thinking, too. Just awaiting the new plastic, with that special 'X' on the back, again . . .
Congrats tho !!! It's amazing when our wonderful technology DOES keep up, right?

Yea, I had similar with my TWIC and hazmat , I got fingerprinted and whatnot around 1700 one day for both and got an email confirming approval around 0300 or something the next AM. Logged in to check and TWIC and hazmat were both approved. In my case I think having SENTRI probably made them come back so quick. With his probably having TWIC done made the hazmat quick.
Honestly a shame to pay for each seperate one if, at least full price, if they're already gonna be approved super quick do to most of the actual legwork being done already.
Guess each agency wants $$$ though

Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations

I opted for the FAST Card Canada which according to the TTP website is valid for both Mexico and Canada. Conditionally approved, just gotta head to Sault Sainte Marie for an interview (also doing NEXUS interview same day)
Anyone done one? I'm gonna assume the American interview will probably be short as I already have my SENTRI card for civilian entrance via rapid lanes from Mexico. More just curious how the Canadian interview will be.
