Every day I go that way and every day it is like that. Luckily when I'm heading east to my meet it is only a 20-30 minute delay most of the time. On my way back west east bound is stopped for miles all the way past the 80/294 merge.
It stinks for us because our tank wash is off I94 just north of 80 and our OC is off exit 5 in IN. No real way to avoid it

Saturday I had to travel east bound on I80 from Sterling, IL to Hobart, IN. Before the state line I got caught in a huge traffic backup because of major road construction. Lasted almost to I65 in Indiana. It took me 2 hours to drive the appropriately 10 miles. They are funneling 4 lanes of traffic down to 2 lanes. When I got my load in Hobart and came back west, westbound was ok, but the eastbound side was still backed just like when I came through it. My observation is that this backup will be a 24/7 situation for quite a while. If you have to go across this area, you might want to consider dropping down to how 30. Anybody else have a similar experience?
Also, the fall colors in western Ohio and throughout Pennsylvania are spectacular and it’s not even peak color time yet. Looks like it might be an outstanding year for fall colors. If you drive there, you will be in for a visual treat.
